Favorite article on Cincinnati’s pit bull ban.

Scot and I went to Pit Bull Awareness Day at Winton Woods this weekend and saw the prettiest, most well-behaved dogs ever. It made me wish so much that we could take Wrigley out and he would be that good, but at least I know it’s not because he’s half pit bull.

Today is:

howl!

the first annual world-wide Howl At The Moon event. It’s just a silly made-up holiday, but I’m excited about it, probably because I’ve been howling so much since I saw Where the Wild Things Are anyway.

My camera is officially broken, so I was going to stop posting until the New Year, when I will hopefully get a digital SLR for Christmas, as it is now the only thing on my list for both parents. However, there are still some things I don’t want to forget about, so I’ll keep track of them here until I can start sharing my very own photos again. Like these, which were what caused my camera to break, but were still worth it:

My camera is officially broken, so I’ve decided for this to be the only thing I ask for from both parents for Christmas;

d40

I overslept and we didn’t get to go to church, which I am upset about.

I’ve googled dogs on Petfinder and bluebird crafts all day to make myself feel better.

Late birthday present from my Scot GIlmore by the great Miss Amanda Leadman.

foot!

“For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” -Romans 8:24-25

Silly Blackberry picture, but I love it. It wasn’t as bad as I was expecting.

We went to the flea market today, it was strange. We got cheap candy, but we made sure to check the expiration date on it after we found that all the dog treats they were selling 2 for $1 were very very expired.

Wrigley had a sleepover last night;

Alex and Andrew got a pit bull boxer mix, they’re like twins.

They had a party last night and we puppy sat for them.

Wrigley got the Gentle Leader collar, it’s awesome and he’s the besttt.

Making breakfast, taking the puppy home and going to Dayton to get tattooed. EEP!

P.S. This man is a genius. We watched his show all night.

I bought running shoes today for morning runs with Wrigley, I hope it doesn’t rain so we can start tomorrow.

pig pen

This was waiting for me after work last night, all wrapped up from my boyfriend! It came from The Pig Pen and I love it.

pam and jim

Now I’m going to watch these fine folks get married! Have a pretty evening. :)

P.S. Just a reminder:

Breast cancer

You can find free or low cost mammograms through The American Cancer Society. I’ll be getting one.

Beginning this month, I’m going to be volunteering for the Welcome House and Bark Ark Bully Rescue. I found both of these organizations through Volunteermatch. Time is something every person has the ability to give. I believe giving of yourself and your time is much more powerful than just giving of your money. There are things that more people need to see, even if it is difficult or painful to do so. That is something I am hoping to work on. I would like to learn to look at those difficult and painful things without turning away.

Also, Scot and I are going to test-drive this church Sunday; I have high hopes.

And a sneak peak of something else I have high hopes for if I can pull it off;

Listening to this all night, it happens every year as soon as the weather gets colder;

NFG

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a new favorite Postsecret. Even if there aren’t as many happy, hopeful ones each week, I find plenty of sad secrets posted by people I then can pray for. Maybe the fact that their secrets made it onto Frank’s blog that week is more important.

This weekend included a Reds game (win!), the Renaissance Festival and lots of apple cider.

renfest

I saw the prettiest rings today, but they were too expensive, so I’m still searching;

I’m going to take a nap now while Scot watches the football game. I just Googled the score, I’m happy that he will have a good game to watch. Overtime and a Bengals win. Goodnight. <3

P.S. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was one of the best movies I have ever seen.

gandhis

Happy belated birthday, Gandhi! Kids make me so happy.

We went to the Reds game tonight. I love these fall nights.

Also, upon request, I’d like to share these:

And this quote, which I just heard in Benjamin Button, which I am watching now and have to stop blogging to pay attention to:

“You can be as mad as a mad dog at the way things went. You could swear, curse the fates, but when it comes to the end, you have to let go.”

Last night we tried a new beer. I can safely say that I have yet to meet a Blue Moon I didn’t like. They have a really cool website, on which I just read that they are making something new soon. :)

Today, we are going to see either this:

cloudy

or this:

paper heart

It’s rainy, my plan is to keep myself from making any plans.

Spontaneity is the quality of being able to do something just because you feel like it at the moment, of trusting your instincts, of taking yourself by surprise and snatching from the clutches of your well-organized routine, a bit of unscheduled plea
